The Botanical sits quietly at the edge of Melbourne’s famous Royal Botanic Gardens, and like its neighbour, is a long-standing icon in itself. As new restaurants entered the precinct and a new chef and management planned to reinvigorate the restaurant, a brand refresh was in order.
With the restaurant’s focus shifting from day to night a more polished, sophistication emerged as a natural quality to channel. Paired with a leaf motif reminiscent of the previous mark, the brand was brought to life with a bright vermillion colour, a subtle nod to the Chinese influence on the cuisine, and embodying the inherent depth and heritage of the institution.
